Doug Holt photographs still life, fashion accessories and soft goods from his own daylight studio in Long Island City, Queens – handbags, footwear, belts, scarves, home goods and packaging for brands such as Missoni, Zac Posen and Rizzoli.

Each setup is styled and lit around the product, so shape, texture and material read clearly: leather looks like leather, silk like silk. Clean tabletop shots for ecommerce, styled scenes for campaigns and editorial, and close-up detail work all come out of the same studio, with retouching included.
